Refurbishment and systems upgrade projectThe project was carried out in Lesa, on Lake Maggiore, and involved the complete refurbishment of an ageing private swimming pool, which required significant maintenance work and a systems upgrade.
The aim was to modernise the swimming pool both technically and aesthetically, improving its functionality, safety and user comfort.
To install the new swimming pool system, recesses were cut into the pool floor and walls to accommodate the new technical components: floor drains, underwater lights and surface skimmers.
The old tiled and mosaic cladding, which had deteriorated and no longer met the client’s tastes, was replaced with a modern pool liner, which is easier to maintain and more aesthetically pleasing.
The existing prefabricated coping was retained but completely refurbished: the joints between the various elements were sealed and, on two sides, it was widened to provide a broader and more comfortable walkway around the pool.
One of the most distinctive features of this private swimming pool is the presence of large glazed openings overlooking the villa’s basement rooms.
This was a particularly challenging aspect from a technical point of view: the work required high-precision sealing and specific materials to ensure a perfect watertight seal, eliminating any risk of water ingress.
Thanks to this project, the swimming pool in Lesa has been completely refurbished and given a new life, with updated systems, modern finishes and a design that complements the villa’s architecture.
This project demonstrates DRD Costruzioni’s expertise in building private swimming pools and refurbishing existing ones.
