In 2012, we built a semi-detached house in the municipality of Capiago Intimiano (CO), characterised by modern architecture and high energy performance, designed to ensure living comfort, efficiency and environmental integration.
The client wanted a contemporary-style home, equipped with the latest home automation technologies and built to eco-friendly standards, with an energy rating of A+.
The building features clean lines and simple geometric forms, in true modernist style.
Extensive glazed surfaces and large windows ensure a constant supply of natural light, reducing the energy required for artificial lighting and enhancing the quality of the interior spaces.
For sun protection and light control, shading systems have been installed comprising adjustable slatted roller shutters and external wooden sunshades, which combine functionality, thermal comfort and aesthetic elegance.
These solutions, integrated with the home’s technological systems, enable intelligent management of solar radiation throughout the different seasons.
The villa is fitted with a home automation system that controls lighting, heating, ventilation and security, ensuring optimised energy consumption and maximum living comfort.
The system allows for remote control and personalised management of the interior spaces.
A controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) system has been installed, ensuring constant air exchange and proper regulation of indoor humidity, thereby reducing heat loss and improving indoor comfort.
On the roof, the building is fitted with photovoltaic panels which make a significant contribution to the home’s energy requirements, reducing CO₂ emissions and running costs.
The combination of these solutions has enabled the property to achieve an A+ energy rating, striking an excellent balance between performance and environmental sustainability.
Interior design and materials usedInside, the villa features a refined balance between natural materials and modern finishes. The warmer, more traditional wooden floors have been paired with resin cladding and wallpaper to create striking visual contrasts in colour and texture.
The attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials have resulted in cosy, bright and functional interior spaces, in perfect harmony with the building’s external aesthetics.
The semi-detached villa in Capiago Intimiano is a concrete example of modern, sustainable and technologically advanced construction, where architecture, comfort and respect for the environment come together in a project of the highest quality.
